This year’s Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast, held June 6 at Mile Square Golf Course, once again attracted a near-full house audience.
The free event allowed Chamber members and interested residents an opportunity to learn about what’s happening on the federal, state, county and local levels and how it can impact the city.
Among the legislators on hand for the event were U.S. Rep Dana Rohrabacher, State Senator Janet Nguyen and State Assemblyman Travis Allen, as well as Mayor John Collins.
Chamber of Commerce President Mary Parsons opened the meeting and introduced a number of local personalities, including Chamber board members, city officials – including Council members Mark McCurdy, Cheryl Brothers and Michael Vo – and school officials, including FVSD Superintendent Mark Johnson and school board members Sandra Crandalland Jim Cunneen.
Former Mayor Larry Crandall served as moderator for the legislative update portion of the event and fielded questions from the audience.
